Meet Julie

Career Counselor & Coach

This is My Story

Thank you for your interest in the Know You Project.

My work has become quite meaningful to me and I am honored to share it with you.

Growing up in Nashville, I was fortunate to attend exemplary schools, through which I connected with solid friends, teachers, and coaches. I have always highly valued relationships and attribute much of who I am to the countless positive influences I’ve had.

A significant part of my background is my involvement in athletics. I played every sport I could as a child, eventually focusing most intently on volleyball and basketball. Through my years of both playing and coaching, I developed an early interest in different personalities. Team dynamics, communication styles, motivation – it all fascinated me.

That interest led an undergraduate degree in Psychology from SMU. Given my background, it was natural to accept the job of Assistant Athletic Director at Currey Ingram Academy in Brentwood, TN.

My five years there were incredibly valuable and I remember them with great fondness. I coached various sports, taught Physical Education, and served as a Social Skills Counselor. I loved working with the students and watching them grow.

I became exposed to personality assessments as a young adult and saw how the knowledge gained from these tools and discussions can transform relationships. So in 2011, I decided to dedicate my work to serving people in this way.

The Know You Project was born out of a passion to help students and young adults learn more about who they are and where they’re going. It allows me to ask hard questions, offer new perspective, and walk alongside someone during seasons of transition. I grow and learn from each client I am privileged to serve.

In 2010, I married Mark and it has been the most wonderful journey so far. Our life together is rich with depth, community, and adventure. And we have backyard chickens.
